Heartworm Detection/Treatment/Prevention
Heartworm disease can be fatal to your pet. Preventive for heartworms should be given year-round for both your cat and dog. Our animal hospital offers heartworm testing for dogs as part of our routine yearly protocol, but it can be done at any point if your pet has been off of heartworm prevention for any length of time or if you’ve acquired a new dog and are unaware of its history. If your pet is heartworm positive we offer heartworm treatment.
Flea Prevention
We highly suggest that pets stay on flea and/or tick prevention year round here. It does not get quite cold enough for them to disappear during the winter months and they love the temperature inside your home. We carry topical and oral prescription products for your pets. Remember, the most expensive flea prevention is the one that doesn’t work as the money is wasted.
