The Staff and Doctors of Cliffdale Animal Hospital
Member of AVMA and NCVMA, Dr. Valenti is a proud graduate of the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine, class of ’79. After working as an associate veterinarian the first four years post graduation, she moved to Fayetteville. Here, she took on the responsibility of independently practicing as the managing veterinarian of a satellite practice.
In 1990, Dr Valenti opened her own practice, Cliffdale Animal Hospital. The practice thrived and subsequently outgrew its shopping center strip location. So in 2000, Dr Valenti designed and built the free standing facility where Cliffdale Animal Hospital now exists.
Dr. Valenti shares her home with several furry creatures that you may catch a glimpse of from time to time at our facility; her cat Ping Pong and her 2 Norwich Terriers, Grand Finale and Opus. She is pictured here with Opus.
Member of AVMA, Dr. Christiansen graduated from Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2014 (Go Cougs!). She then practiced small animal medicine in New Mexico, where she is originally from, for 2 years. Recently, she relocated to Fayetteville, NC where she has been an associate veterinarian with Cliffdale Animal Hospital since June 2016. Her passion in veterinary medicine includes surgery, dentistry, and the human-animal bond.
Dr. Christiansen is a proud Army wife to her husband Thomas. Together they have three fur babies, Domino the Lab/Border Collie Mix, Fancy the Pit/Hound Mix, and Lilly the Australian Shepherd.
Dr. Christiansen is pictured here with her dog Domino.
Janice has worked with Dr. Valenti for the past 30 years. She is a member of the first graduating class of Douglas Byrd High School here in Fayetteville and earned her AS degree in Veterinary Technology at Central Carolina Community College in Sanford. Both of her children are adults and have left the nest. She has bred and shown miniature longhaired dachshunds, including winners at the Dachshund Club of America National Specialties and at the National Miniature Dachshund Club. Tess, Mud, Neon, Liberty and Pierogi as well as two labs, Kenly and Ember and three cats, Daytona, Talladega, and Fujimoto all reside with her. Liberty is a future show prospect, while the others are all retired.
Viola has worked with us since 2008. She has worked in the veterinary field for over 15 years. She lives on a horse farm with 11 horses, 10 dogs, 4 cats, 8 chickens, her husband and autistic brother. She has rescued and rehomed many animals that have been thrown out on the country roads in her area. She spends her time away from work training horses and giving riding lessons. Sometimes she even gets a chance to ride! She is pictured with Mr. Butterz.
Gina is married and raising 2 grandchildren. She has a few 4 legged critters, Cowboy, a Rottweiler, Buck the beagle, Diva, a pit bull, a rat terrier named Peanut, and 2 horses, as well as 4 birds. Gina has worked in the veterinary field since 1990 and can't imagine doing any other job.
